Community Service-Learning

The Center facilitates many opportunities throughout the year for students, faculty, and staff, to engage the Greenville and Upstate community.  Programs, such as the service-learning day at Triune Mercy Center, allows participants to learn about the local community, connect with service and ministry organizations, as well as hearing the stories of those in settings across the city related to issues such as homelessness and poverty.  Participants are also able to assist with hands-on projects like building renovation, community gardening, and serving meals, as needed by the partnering organizations.

The next Service-Learning Day at Triune Mercy Center is scheduled for April 2014, with an exact date and time to be announced.  E-mail rolyn.rollins@furman.edu to register for this service-learning day and to receive additional information.
