Recently, we had alumni Dean Farmer, Ph.D., J.D. come and speak on “Integrating Intellect with Compassion: A Lifelong Journey.” He shared stories of life, faith, and people throughout his interesting vocational journey: from Blue Ridge High School to the Furman music program, from music to chemistry, from a Ph.D. in organic Chemistry at Brown to post-doctoral work at Harvard, and from ten years of mission work in Germany to practicing law in Boston.
